the original show didn't even have green ranger. he was a guest appearance. then they brought him into the show. i think he became the white ranger. my rug rat used to watch it, i liked how dumb the show was.

I was ...middle school, I think? late elementary?... when the whole "green ranger dies/white ranger is TOMMY??" bombshell dropped. I was never a huge Power Rangers fan but it was an afterschool time killer. That's what I tell myself at least, but sure as ****, when you mentioned the white ranger, I had flashbacks.

danno i tried your ignitor. no change.
primary coil resistance measured high. i switched with them out with green bikes coils and boots.
no change. i can hold it wide open while riding and hesitation/loading up starts at 6000-7000 rpm
valve check good
carbs totally redone by ducti
tried a ebay ignitor no change, danno's known good ignitor/ no change
fuel drained and fresh. petcock/carb fuel test all passed
stock fuel filter removed external filter on
compression tester on order.
noticed cylinder #2 was rich on plug

I used to watch the original back in the day, actually got in trouble in school for kicking another student while wearing my power ranger shoes. Lol @maverick9611 have you checked valve lash, or a compression test? Maybe a cylinder leak down test as well. If it's not fuel or ignition related it is leaning towards base engine at this point.

working closely with danno
replaced checked so far
carbs rebuilt by gordon
ignitor replaced by known good unit(danno's race bike)
bike switched to pods. problem happened with airbox and pods, so we can eliminate air.
petcock fuel/timing test passed
gas cap is a vented slingshot racing cap(yes i rode with cap unscrewed)
valves all checked at top end of spec(just did 2000 miles ago)
coils/plug boots changed from green bike(was running sticks coils when problem happened)
tyga exhaust totally clear
plugs/gap checked
have new plugs coming
had 2 shims on needles gonna remove them
battery good/connections tight
i ordered compression tester be here tomorrow.starts to fall on it face at 5500 rpm. max rpm with throttle wide open is 7000rpm. runs like its loaded up. not good. everybody put your thinking cap on this one. been try to lock it down since devils whip ride

I've had plugs give issues at higher rpms, and visually they looked fine.

Could it be the coil that is having problems at higher rpms?

i swapped stock coils from green bike and i ohm’d em out. they passed and were in spec. so no. i used green bikes plug boots also. remember red bike had stick coils. the problem happened with stick coils. so swapping red stock coils or green bikes stock coils and problem still exist means coil not the issue.

What throttle position does it start at?

Will it run fine at 1/2 throttle at lower RPMs?

Slides rise and fall smoothly?

Have you tested the battery voltage? Connections?

Have you removed the air filter to see if that changes anything?

Seems like this troubleshooting should have its own thread? It's now spread out between two non-related ones.

Electrical issues more likely then.
