Help with hose

2003 ex250f. Just changed plugs. Was putting fairings back on and saw two hoses that I don't think go together but I want to be sure. One is the fuel overflow from the carb but I have no idea what the other is. I've attached a pic from the left side. Any help would be awesome.

The S shaped hose is the crankcase breather hose, it attaches to the bottom of the airbox

No, the carb vent line needs to open to let the fuel into carbs, and in case they overflow, some people just remove the hose, others leave it hanging.

The crankcase breather hose connects to the bottom of the airbox, I'm assuming that it's there.
