lol... it's called mortality. Prior to 35, everyone thinks they are immortal. You should have received your "mortality card" by mail on your 35th birthday?? Did you miss it?

As you get older still, naps become your best friend.

well, damn! Who sent mine early? I don't know when I'll ever be as brave as I was before I shattered my kneecap at 19! And naps have always been my best friend!

Uh, unless you happen to be driving.... or about half asleep as I was at the wheel two weeks ago...another driver tried to occupy my lane while I was kinda out of it and I took out 4 mailboxes to avoid colliding with him...I should have been paying better attention.

um... yep, should have added that caveat... no napping while driving!

glad to hear you ended up okay... bet you can't say that about your car/truck.

Good thing for Allstate auto insurance. The 01 F-150 front end took a beating....those were some very sturdy mailboxes (business size types on 4x4 posts), but I'm fine...gotta nice new rental Nissan Titan to drive while the Ford gets repaired. The guy that sent me off roading slowed down just long enough to look at me and my beat up truck and simply drove away....oh well.

I am 67 going on 16. Nice thing about being 67 and having ridden for 50 years accident and ticket free is that my insurance is only $150. a year

I was a hostage negotiator on a Special Weapons Team with the Sheriff`s Dept for 11 years. That gave me a certain edge--I don`t, however exceed the speed limit--that`s why God made tracks and dragstrips. In the long run one saves on insurance. Believe it or not, I pay a penalty for riding a sportbike. If I would have bought a Honda Rebel, my insurance would have been $100.

LOL, you'd pay a bigger bigger penalty than higher insurance riding on a Rebel. Yech!

Cochise, Wish I was younger. I`m 67 and have been riding for 50 years. I still enjoy the ride as if I was 20. I also ride bicycles about 15 to 20 miles daily. I have a shop and I build custom racing bikes. I really enjoy the feeling of moving on two wheels.

Thanks... I would, but lugging my bike through baggage would be a PITA.

It's so good to see people from the forum making friends and hooking up to go riding... which is what this is all about.
