I pray before every ride on the bike. I am very spiritual and I just ask God to keep me safe on my rides. Too each's own though...I don't knock anyone that does not believe in God. Ya have ya rights to or not to.

To be fair he kinda went off the deep end after somebody compared his faith to a dick.

Not for nothing but that's not the most awesome metaphor.

Not just his faith, but any religion (or lack of thereof) in general. And the point that you missed was, it's fine to say "I have a dick" or "I don't, I have vagina instead", it's not fine to say "you should have a dick/vagina too, otherwise you'll end up in hell". And, btw, this...

you know the whole "god is good" line is often used by radical muslims before either A) Blowing themselves up or B)One of their own just died by the enemy or even C) Killing others.

Crazy!

ps: I'm not comparing the op to radical muslims. D:

My point is that some people bemoaning preachy, sanctimonious, and judgemental behavior are pretty much guilty of the same.

Yeah, but I wanted to see how big a hole would be dug (if any) before I brought that into the conversation. As motofool said, things have been pretty civil so far (although it's only 1 page for me).

From what I remember reading (in another thread), OP is trying to get into law enforcement. I wouldn't worry so much about his avatar...

It depends on the personal usage of the tool.

I could cite one of the Ten Commandments: "Thou shalt not kill".

Nope

then again, as a non-believer, that wouldn't make much sense xP

I don't think it's weird for people to do, though. Whatever measure of ease or comfort it gives people is worth something even if it simply makes them less nervous/anxious about the ride and therefore allows them to react to mistakes or danger more efficiently.

Best I got is "FuuuuuuuuuuuUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKK!" when something doesn't go right. But that's not for anyone but me.

If I die, I die. If there was a God I'd think it has a lot more **** to worry about than one kid on a motorcycle somewhere. I mean, really, it's already watching over all those high school football games.

Me too! I can't stand those fairytale books.

Fortunately for us the Bible mentions the world is round even before Columbus discovered this to be true. It also doesn't deny the existence of dinosaurs.

Want me to lead you into prayer, or do you want to start?

Go back to school and learn some history. Columbus didn't discover Earth to be spherical. Nor did Ferdinand Magellan discover that, but he did demonstrate it in first circumnavigation expedition he organized.
