Accessory holes in control lever perch.

On my bike there are holes with threads in the perches of the control levers. I assume they are another one of those things Kawasaki built into the bike for when a newb breaks something.

Does anyone have any idea what the bolt size and pitch are? I unfortunately dont have any extra metric fasteners lying around or Id go figure it out.

I assume they are 10mm but I would rather not make two trips to the shop.

Thanks!

they are for mirrors, and they are different sizes on left and right if i remember right. one is a 10mm though. they use the same controls on other bikes, so those holes are for when its on a bike that has handle-bar-mounted-mirrors.

they also make these nifty little plastic things that you can use to see what size and pitch a hole is. it's like $2

Yea, I am using a super tiny mirror at the moment...feels pretty unsafe. I'm probably going to order 07 z1000 mirrors once I confirm they fit these holes. I have a feeling that the 05 ninja 250 and the 07 z1000 use the same control perches.

why don't you use the stock mirrors? those are pretty good. Track fairings?

I dont have the stock front end electrics installed, fairing stay was broken from p/o, everything would shake and bounce around on the road.

Very usefule mirror mounts, and they are both standard 10mm, so you can use almost any mirrors ever made, or a GPS or smartphone mount.
