Has anybody come across these from Australia ?

Not a great idea, nor is any device with a similar design. The way it can check the pressure is by pressing the shrader valve down into the open position. So if there is any leak in the seal from the valve stem to this new gadget, that's it, there is no more safety.

These gadgets give you a visual indicator of when the tire might be low on pressure, but in addition they increase the likelihood that the tire will become low on pressure. If you want a tire-monitoring system, the right way is one that is installed inside the tire rim itself, leaving the shrader valve intact.

Thanks Alex I hadn't looked at it that way just here the tyre pressures change daily even on my car so was looking for something to give a quick visual indicator

any ideas on a good monitoring system ?

I haven't looked into it recently, but I thought there were ones that you could install inside the tire on the rim. Anything that goes on the outside valve alone is a non-go for me.
