I think my 2fiddy is in love with Mobile 1
So guys, as most of you know i just did a valve adjustment and what not. As well as that, i also changed the oil, and upgraded from Lucas semi synthetic to Mobile 1 Full Synthetic Motorcycle Oil. Definently worth the extra money in my opinion. It feels soooo much smoother. I know some of that is due to the valve adjustment, but another thing is it switches gears like butter.
Normally in the mornings, i would go out to the garage(anywhere from 40-60 degrees) and start my bike with the choke on, and the idle would hit 4-5000rpms. And id ride off like that. But normally when i put it in gear, it would lurch and make a loud clunking sound. As is normal for any bike im pretty sure when cold, and at a high idle(choke). Ive noticed that since ive switched to Mobile 1 that in the mornings when i put it in gear under the circumstances described above, you cant even tell! No noise, no lurching, nothing! The shifting is smoother, its harder to accidentally find false neutrals, etc... Definently going to stick with this oil for a while. Maybe even upgrade and try out Royal Purple next? Maybe not, its $17 a quart... Anyways, just thought id share! |
