Morning little adventure to Shenandoah, VA
I took a little trip to Shenandoah last Friday morning. It took me roughly 4 hours round trip from and to my home in Woodbridge. I left at 6 am and it was a little chilly that morning. The only downside was my wife was texting me all the time and I use my iPhone as my navigation so I had to stop a lot of times to clear the messages. We had a big discussion when I got home.
Anyway, my wife for 10 years is not supportive of 'me' time and I hate her for that. She gives me hard times when I enjoy my hobbies all by myself. She believes that family should be a priority ALL the times and 'me' time is out of the picture anymore. Is your wife/gf supportive? I told her that I need my 'me' time whether she likes it or not. It's who I am and I do it for my own sanity's sake especially when we have two kids who are 2 and 7. After that long discussion, we both agreed that we will each have our own 'me' time. The trip was really pleasant if my wife was not bothering me. The twisty road up in the mountains called Skyline Drive was twisty enough for me. I only went half of it but I will surely be back there and will go end to end and this time I will use a stand alone GPS so my wife will not bother me with her texting anymore. She promised she won't do it anymore but we'll see. Sorry for the rant but here are the photos... a little crappy using my iPhone4... |
