$5 custom earplugs

radians custom plugs on sale for $5 each. i got 3 pairs, screwed up the first pair but the second pair i did right... these things are amazing. you cant feel them when they are in but they work just as well as uncomfortable foam disposables. they feel more rubbery then foam like the cheap earplugs. if you get them, make sure you mix the stuff vigorously for a solid 2 minutes. dont under mix it or it wont cure right and it will be a waste. i mixed both plugs at once so i didnt screw up the ratios instead of breaking the 2 parts into halves and mixing seperately... just mixed it up, crammed them in my ears and went to sleep. woke up a few hours later with perfect earplugs

I might try those out. Can I clean them or is warm water going to cause problems? I have a lot of ear-wax.

but at $5, you might as well just order some extra pairs and replace them every now and then... you know when they turn from blue to that nice yellow orange color of your ear wax.

haha yeah i might order a pair or 2. Hell, I think I'll just stop at a cabelas when I'm home.

until then, I'll continue using the ones I have now.

I pulled out the string and cut off the smallest lobe on the end because it poked too far into my ear and hurt. Now they're comfy as hell

I used to use those custom-fit earplugs. They worked really well for shooting.

Now I use Surefire earplugs. Very comfortable and work even better than the custom molded ones.
