triple tree bag?
hi all, having a problem keeping my large touch screen mobile phone (sprint evo) in my dainese jacket pocket. seems my gut is contouring the phone, putting strain/ bending the device. want to place it somewhere else.
don't want it under the pillion, and not ready for a tank bag yet (magnets causing issue with phone?), but found a triple tree bag on newenough. http://preview.tinyurl.com/2eybcn6 any reason why this wouldn't fit the bill? i had never seen one before. and there is the review from a 250 owner on the site. tia, parker Last futzed with by pb3; October 28th, 2010 at 01:30 AM. |

Why would magnets cause an issue with the phone? There is no magnetic media in it, right?

good point. i'm not qualified. and i've never held a tank bag in my hands yet so it may not even be an issue.

I've never had a problem with cell phones and magnetic tank bags.

My tank bag's magnets usually aren't a problem but once I SWORE that it triggered my iPhone 4 to hard lock with a garbled screen and a horrible screeching coming from my Bluetooth headset. I don't think it was coincidence.
The effects of magnets and electricity are intertwined. Just like electricity running through a wire creates an electromagnet (usually only obvious when coiled but always present regardless), wires and traces passing through a magnetic field generate small currents in the wires and traces (like a generator) which may be enough to cause it to crash. |
