Will the wrong size pin on a headlift stand damage anything?

I have one lying around but the pin diameter is 15mm and my new bike calls for a 16.5mm pin. It fits in there fairly snug but I have never used one of these stands before. I am not sure if it needs to be a perfect fit or not.

no really it shouldn't hurt anything at it ends up kinds sitting on the base mount of the pin anyways once it fully seats, just be careful when you drop it up and it slides down the bottom of the pin

Okay cool. I wasn't sure that it would apply pressure evenly when lifting it because of the small gap it has. Thanks!

Same here. I think it's a 15mm. Fits perfect in the stand and has enough slack to fit the F and J bikes.
