Throttle & Throttle Cable Smoothness

Forgive me if I've missed any prior thread in here but I didn't see anything here or in the wiki. Closest one I found was that thread about making it easier for WOT.

I've been wanting to adjust my throttle smoothness as it seems like it's a bit rough and doesn't twist smoothly. It retracts slower than I'd like as well. I just assume I should open her up and apply some lube and what not but would like some feedback from those who have played with the throttle and throttle cable to get it to become more smooth. Your help is noted and appreciated in advance.

Thanks

open it up, disconnect and lube the cables, clean and grease everything in the throttle assembly with a Teflon spray grease. Assemble and adjust and see if it makes a diff.

I removed the second "push" cable on my throttle setup and my throttle literally snaps back shut when I let it go.

I had to adjust my grip to give it more room to move and that fixed the problem for me. Just loosen the screws and slide the start switch away from the throttle and see if that helps
