yeah, get up at 5:40ish.. and leave by 6am. get there at 7am or so. School teacher hours are lame when you live so far away.

I would hate that, I live in a rural area and commute to baltimore daily which takes half an hour to an hour each way depending on traffic. Have to get up "early" which for me is 7:30am lol

Where do you start from? I ask because I used to live in Dale City. The traffic is horrible in any direction there.

I once spent a summer living well out of town at a cottage by the ocean. Beautiful place, but I found that commuting 55 minutes each way really wore me down. After the summer I moved back into the city.

Now my commute is a breezy 12-14 minutes, and I don't feel like spending all that time in rush-hour traffic is sucking the life out of me.

I have 2 ninja 250's. my 08 is 14/45 and my 02 now is 15/37

i prefer the 02 for commuting. Mainly because the suspension is better. Im fixing my 08 fork seals now.

You're not doing it right, the Maryland way is to use the on ramps to pass as many people as possible and then force your way in.

Laurel to Alexandria... that blows, but I guess that early you don't hit to much beltway traffic.

I used to commute Laurel to Bethesda at typical rush hour, 20miles often take me an hr or more. I do not miss those days.

Cool vid, clearly weather doesn't keep you off the bike

I live right in the middle of the city, my rent is cheap, and my job is five blocks away. Love the Midwest.

Although, now that I have a motorcycle again, I'm considering a job that has a commute. Since I live near downtown, my commute would still be opposite rush hour traffic.

Nice vid!! I'm currently working on a time lapse video of how the environment changes on the same road throughout the year, different seasons bringing different elements and how gradually the difference comes, filmed on the same road over a years period. so far I've only made this video but the new one will be done in similar manner.

Link to original page on YouTube.
