Aprilia for a touring bike?

This bike seems like a perfect candidate for a touring bike and the price is fair.

My only concern in maintenance and working on the turd.

Not bad bikes, but the dealer/parts network is practically non-existent around here, and don't expect any help from the factory or dealer.

My friend has an RSV4 Factory he bought new ($$$), and had a few issues with the bike, and all he got was the runaround from everyone involved.

These guys helped him out, though.

Never rode any of their smaller stuff, but I had two different RSVs with the 1000cc twin. REALLY miss them.

You better make sure you have a good dealer nearby. Wrenching on one of these isn't like wrenching a Japanese bike.

Maintenance concerns aside, it looks pretty nice.

Generally, I avoid little known products. Not that the small companies are bad, but there's just more of a guarantee in bigger companies. Get a KLR!

You should hike pilot mountain... It's pretty sweet! You could even tour Mayberry, an get a pork chop sandwich
I didn't know their was anything to bike close by Charlotte, gonna have to look up crowders. The Queen City does have the closest Dave an busters, an the bass pro shop, with all the racing stuff, an the sports.

LOL - there wasnt any good ridding there. All straight traffic filled boring roads mostly. But the parks are fun for hiking. We Just ride out bikes there for a destination.

I will have to check out the spots you mentioned. It sucks having this lame as hell retail job. I have not worked a job that I had a schedule at in years.

I am used to making my own hours and getting overtime. Now I get 39 hours and it has to be 5 days a week.

The Aprilla would be a great bike if I lived in Europe somewhere that had a dealership base

Lowes. for a couple months now. I am considering going back to contracting for myself or even the company I used to work for . I made 40% more but I lived near NYC so rent was too damn high. Salaried also meant I worked a lot of over time with no benefit. But I took 3 day weekends whenever I wanted.

oh well You don't know how good you had it until you let it go.

Sorta like my 1985 Xr 250. That bike was loaded with power for a bullet proof air cooled 80s endure. I went to the Rm 250s for a while. Then CR480. They were needy and touchy. Nothing like the good old trail beater XR

I def don't like the riding around Charlotte, I stay far away from that place anytime I can. We have some sweet roads down here, but I'm slow.
Closest place worth hiking to me, then grandfather mountain, the smokies, Asheville, all the western stuff.
Retail def sucks, but it's better than nothing.

I dont give a damn about retail .... but I certainly want to hike Grandfather mountain. We are going to hike it when we have another three day weekend. Let me know if you want to meet up with us. We skipped it a couple weekends ago because it was very rainey up there lol
