Vermont has more than flies..

Barre Surplus sells these things called trigger finger mits for about...can't recall and don't care...maybe $15 or less....by themselves with the included liner, they're about equal to lined leather or even cheaper thinsulate gloves. Buuuut....they come big and over the thinsulates...without the liner...they are the warmest things i ever had on my hands...took them out tonight and first time in my life my finger tips did not get cold. Worth a look for sure.

Sorry, I should've been more clear...the $15 ones are heavier...those are the ones i got but....trying to figure out why these work so good I'm wondering if the lighter ones wouldn't work just as good.....it's the layering...I have small hands and there's maybe an extra 3/4" of mit that my fingers don't go into....they look funny, like a crushed tongue at the front of the mit BUT it's enough so that the wind doesn't get to my fingers....I'm guessing.... because the material of the glove is not that heavy to insulate...but the extra 3/4" does block the wind. Hey, I dunno...maybe a big ol' sock would work as well but for $15 first time ever my fingers are warm.
