Small hole in airbox -- how to seal it?

I went to go change my coolant and took off the overflow tank. Noticed a bunch of oil residue on the backside of the tank, as well as around the corner of the airbox. Then I found this small hole:

What's the best way to seal it up?

P.S. I think my coolant really needed changing. The overflow tank even had a bunch of crap inside..

Does that actually go through to the inside?

Some ideas:

Put a sheet metal screw in it.

Degrease it and put a glob of silicone sealer on it. It won't stick well, so leave enough outside so it won't migrate into the box.

Degrease and fill it with hot glue. This is probably the best of these three, since it's likely to stick somewhat.

I'm pretty sure the airbox is polyethylene, so ABS cement won't stick.

Huh. The airbox doesn't seem to have the texture of molded PE. I have a spare airbox lying around, so I'll investigate this.

An alternative quick-fix would be to simply melt the corner over the hole.

I'll be interested in what you find out. I'm thinking you're probably right.

Yes, you're right yes, I hadn't thought of where in the box it might be. If it's before the filter, it doesn't make any difference at all.

It's after the filter. Sure, it's "wrong", but it doesn't seem to be causing any real issues. Don't worry about plugging it, we all have one. Pretty sure it's a drain hole or swirl hole or something like that.

Small enough it doesn't matter anyways.
