[motorcycle.com] - Touratech Adventure Dry Bags Now Available

Hardshell saddlebags are ideal when loading up for a multi-day trip, but the sport-touring bikes they’re usually attached to are fairly expensive. These new bags can deliver the weather resistance of hard bags at a fraction of the cost – and they offer the versatility of mounting on multiple bike categories, not just the adventure touring market for which they were designed.

A convenient carrying handle and shoulder strap are provided.

Riders who wanted the ultimate in waterproof protection for their gear have, in the past, often had to resort to dry bags designed for white water rafting. While their ability at keeping water on the outside is without question, these bags left a lot to be desired when it came time to attache them to a motorcycle.*Touratech*has taken the best qualities of those dry bags and added the features necessary for use on a motorcycle to deliver an ideal balance between watertightness, strength, flexibility and conspicuity.

Polyurethane construction with welded seals assures that the*Adventure Dry Bags*keeps the elements on the outside and earned a IP64 waterproofing and strength in independent laboratory testing. The full-length horizontal top roll closure on the top of the bag addresses one of the primary problems of dry bags – narrow openings. The Adventure Dry Bags, with their wide opening, make that issue a thing of the past.

Reflective panels and multiple tie down points are sure to please riders.

When it’s time to strap the gear to the bike, compression straps keep the load as compact as possible in addition to providing multiple tie-down points. Night-time conspicuity is provided by 3M Scotchlite reflective material on the bag ends and handles. A padded shoulder strap is provided.

The Touratech Adventure Dry Bags come in three sizes: 31-liter medium bag, 49-liter large, and 89-liter extra-large. Color options are black, silver, yellow and Dakar-inspired tan. Pricing for the M, L, and XL bags is: $110, $117, and $124, respectively.
