weird clicking sounds near the chain area
ok so since yesterday my 2009 ninja has been making this click sound from under, behind, and the right side (the chain area) its kinda freaking me out. i have about 500 miles untill i have to change the oil and i wash and lube the chain every week. i have a 150/70 rear tire no rubbing or anything, and its starting to get a little squared off. it kinda sounds like a metallic sounds i checked the area and nothing seems like its out of place or rubbing. it only makes the sound while in 1st or 2nd gear (might make it in 3rd and up but i have an akrapovic slip on so i probably cant hear it) i have the 5 year extended warrenty so if it keeps making the sound i'll just take it to the stealership and have them check it out. but if any one has any suggestions to look at or check or do or whatever that would be awesome. thanks

how much chain slack do you have? anything less than one inch should be readjusted to at least one inch.

Check the rollers on your chain. They have been known to fall off leaving just the rivet that it rides on and makes the noise evertime it strikes the sprockets.

ok i'll check the rivets when i get back from the movies (not taking the bike lol) and when you say one inch is that one inch up from the middle and down from the middle, or is that one inch from all the way up to all the way down? cuz i havn't messed with it and i don't know how it would tighten over time instead of loosen, so i'll check just incase thanks for the advice guys!! i know i can always count on some one to have an idea on this site lol any thing else to look at would be cool too
