Basic Headlight Bulb Change Help
Hi Everyone,
Sorry to bug you with such a basic DIY, but I seem to have lost my manual for my 08 250. Can anyone tell me which fairings (if any) need to be removed in order to replace the headlight bulbs. Due to my clumbsiness in my beginner rider days, I embarassingly have duct tape on my front and side fairings until I can afford new ones, and would like to minimize the fairing removal if possible. I can reach the bulbs and wiring without taking anything off, but not sure where to go from there after removing the wiring connection. If anyone knows of a way to replace the bulbs without taking off the fairings (wishful thinking, I know) could you let me know what to do. If not, then I'll be happy to follow the normal directions if anyone would be so kind as to provide them. Thanks so much... ~Maria |

Maria,
The bulbs should be reachable from beneath the front end without having to take off the fairings. Check out this DIY for some pictures which may help to locate what needs to be undone from the back of the headlight to get the bulbs out. http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=11413 |

the only difficult part i could see by not removing the fairings is that the spring clip that holds the bulb in place may be a little tricky putting back on. i was having some trouble putting the clip back on and i had all my fairings off. then again, i am kind of clumsy with small stuff like that.

being a girl helps though - we have little hands and can angle around to where we can see better most of the time too Good luck Maria!
