Intermittent gauges
Hi All. Iv had an issue with my gauges but Iv just been slack about repairing it because they only stay not working for a minute or so each time.
Everynow and then the speedo will stop working and or the fuel gauge and rarely the TACHO will stop working (once or twice). Is this issue easily fixed? I had one look at trying to get behind the gauge cluster and gave up. Last futzed with by JenkinsBradbury; October 18th, 2015 at 03:18 PM. |

Check your battery connections 1st and then the plugs on the back of the cluster (kinda a pain).

While following these circuit schematics, look for a dirty connector between battery and fuel gauge all the way to ground connection: http://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Wiring_...s_%26_diagrams

Battery connectors have been removed and reattached at least twice. I did have a look at the small phillips head screws with loop connectors at the back of the gauge cluster last night but couldn't see any corrosion. I'm surprised noone has cured this yet, I just found a thread from 3 years ago about this issue. |
