how's the anodizing holding up for you? sure would appreciate it if someone who already has them gives a 3-month review. i would seriously want to mimic that 2011 white ninja "transformer" haha

I'm having no problems, and I've ridden in some unpleasant weather lately
A quick wipe with some wd-40, and they look like new.

yep, it's the slingshot preload adjuster. I ordered it thru Matt, I think about $100 shipped. I think they're made stateside tho, right? so it might be tough for you to get ahold of them.

They adjust the preload on the front springs allowing for fine tuning.

Fyi guys I also have the distributor pricing list for bikers. I should be stocking several of their products by early summer. I can and will do a group buy if you guys want. And yes it will be cheaper than webbike.

Matt, did you ever get a distributorship going with them? It looks like they closed up shop or something. No ebay store and no products on the webbike store.

So it's been about 2 months now, any problem with the integrity of the "Bikers" products you installed? How is the anidized Alum holding up?

Quick question, are those adjustable handlebars lighter or heavier than the OEM ones originally? Thanks

Also, why couldn't you tell us what you paid for them? Trying to run your own business or something? Just curious because I spend time in Asia myself and know that stuff is really really cheap. Like for example A haircut is normally $10-$16 here in the U.S. but a haircut in Asia, I know for a fact, is about $1-$5 depending on where you go. Just asking and just saying...

Levi, pretty much the same questions... Want to know how everything is and if you think it's worth it.

Still love it, would buy again. The anodizing on everything from Bikers is holding up just fine, unlike some other bits i have on the bike... as far as cost, I honestly can't remember exactly, although I know that it was less than $200 for all the parts I ordered not including my bank's transfer fees and the shipping cost (shipping was not bad though). Just email them; they'll send you a catalog promptly with prices.

I didn't get their clip-ons, if that's what you meant by 'adjustable handlebars,' but I'd be very surprised if they weren't significantly lighter the the stock assembly.

Levi, they finally emailed me back. I have an order ready for them. Going to get rear sets, clutch and brake lever, adjustable handle bars (clip ons) and adjustable shock caps. it's gonna cost me about $400 before shipping and bank transfer. How much, if you don't mind, am I looking at for a bank transfer?

The colors will be a secret for now. probably gonna make this order late next month. Looking foward to posting pics of products before and after install.

DJDiablo, I hear ya on the bills. Gotta hate them sometimes. BTW, when you was viewing their order sheet, did you notice some of those items had an "X" on some of the colors? Do you or anyone else know if that means the color with an X means they don't have that item in that color or if it means they don't? Before I pester the overseas customer with my money in the future...

i know for a fact that the bank transfer from the US to indonesia costs around $35. (from Citibank in the US, to BII here in Bali)

the US bank charges $20 for international transfers, and then the bank here charges another $15 to process it.

however each country, and even every bank has a slightly different rate/charge.

what you want to make CRYSTAL clear with your bank when you do the transfer is that you want to take ALL charges as the sender, also the fee on the other end. otherwise you risk that the seller (Bikers in this case) don't receive the full amount, lets say you bought $400 worth of goods, but they get $385 clean. then they might be fussy and ask you to send the remaining $15!! which would be crazy, since you would have to pay more for the transfer fees, than the actual money you are transferring, lol...

It's a shame. They could make a lot more money from over seas sales just by opening a paypal or cc merchant account.

the paypal thing isn't the best deal for people outside America it seems...

i just discovered this past week that no matter what, i will loose money withdrawing money from my Paypal acc. ive tried several ways to save as much money, lol...

1) the most simple route i thought would have been to withdraw my US$ that i have on paypal into my USD account here in indonesia. HOWEVER, PP automatically converts the dollars into the currency of the country its withdrawing to.

that would mean i would loose money from the crappy PP exchange, from $ to rupees, and then from rupees back to $. i dont understand why they dont give the option to keep the transfer in USD, when i have a USD account here.

2) wanted to transfer the money to my friends PP, so that he could then send the money from his bank account in America to my bank account here in Indonesia.

transferring from PP to PP i seem to be getting a minimal fee of $15... there doesn't seem a way that i could find to transfer for totally free, or is there?

on top of it i would then have to pay the $35 for international bank transfer, so a total of $50 lost.

3) the last option, and possibly the least complicated, however still expensive... withdraw the money into my rupees account here. since PP automatically converts the money into the local currency, then its better to receive it in that same currency.

i then saw how bad the exchange rate was though... the rate PP gave was 8.270 Rp to the dollar. while the official exchange is 8,500 Rp/$. means i loose 230 Rp/$. means that i would loose 2.7% ($27 if i were to withdraw $1000, and $54 to withdraw $2000).

so... im back to square one, lol... no matter which way i try, it will always cost something to withdraw this darn money. ive done a test withdraw of $200 the other day, to see what kind of bank charges might incur on this side. if they charge me AGAIN here. then im gonna be even more annoyed. sigh~

thus i have now been discouraged to purchase anything for ppl, since im loosing money every step of the way, lol

With western union, the sender pays all the fees so you get the exact amount that you ask for. It is a bit more expensive than paypal, but likely cheaper than a bank transfer. Although I'm not sure myself.

Is there a source for this stuff, other than going direct?

I got my cylinder cover off of eBay, but now I'm struggling to find any more of their parts.

Anyone know if that chain guard will work with a 150 rear tyre?

shops are quite flooded with these parts here, but they aren't cheap... since they are imported from Thailand, and get taxed+shipping costs added on, etc.

if I'm not mistaken it was around $100 for the chain guard.

Wayan, would you be interesting in exporting these!?

I've got the master cylinder cover, and, if it's any indication of the quality of their stuff, I would like a lot more.

I'm itching for the sprocket cover, rearsets, preload adjusters, and the non-folding clutch/brake lever.

I still find it hard to believe they don't offer gold. I want their gold rear sets.... anyone tried calling them and if so do they speak English?

Wayan... still wondering if you can locate me some gold alluminum mirrors? Like the ones you showed in your parts thread of some bikes you took pics of...

i could, but its sort of defeats the point of trying to get the parts for a reasonable price, since you need to consider that these are already shipped and taxed to come in from thailand to indonesia... to then ship them over to the states would probably tip the scales from being a little expensive, to "too expensive"

if im not mistaken i think i remember Ztrack mentioning that he might be sourcing these Bikers parts directly from thailand. that would be the next best thing possibly.

last couple weeks i have been totally consumed by work, so i havent been very active about getting prices for fellow members... since it takes me a several hours to go out and get prices etc. for parts.

cheers~

Bank transfer depends on your bank. their bank did charge them a small fee, less than $15 though. They hadn't anticipated it but were nice enough to absorb the cost and ship me my parts anyway. I would say anticipated your bank to charge you something in the neighborhood of $20-50, but that's just a guess.

as far as the chain guard, can;t say for sure but I do think it would be fine with a larger tire. it's actually a bit smaller in just about every dimension than the stock one.

'x' by the color means they don't have it in that color.
@djdiablo: they do have some things in blue, or they did when I ordered. just not much. the blue is not color matched tho of course.

I never called them, but their english in our emails was fine.

Is that most of the questions? lol.

@bushmaster: pics!! sounds like you ordered a lot more than I did, definitely wanna c what it all looks like when u install everything.

btw side note for anyone wondering... their exhaust bolt is not compatible with the AreaP exhaust. Actually, judging by the design I think it probably only works with the stock unit. You can still use the bolt with the AreaP, you just have to remove some of the pretty bits it comes with. hard to describe, you'd have to see it.

hope all that helps!
Levi.

They need to make more parts in Blue.

All I've seen so far is the levers and the race stand.

hey guys, my second post in this forum

@wayanlam, I got some idea here. why don't you do some business out of this situation? since you living there. you give your price for aftermarket ninja parts, we pay you using paypal. win win situation right guys? I live just next to Indonesia (from Malaysia), but still impossible to get any deal done, let alone you guys who live in the US. buy parts from here http://cyber-ninja250r.darkbb.com/f2...16-lapak-bursa and sell to us.

been trying to google aftermarket parts seller who dealing with international buyer for about 3 weeks, but fruitless but they selling pretty awesome aftermarket parts; http://cyber-ninja250r.darkbb.com/t9...lu-di-update-_
