Who rides at JenningsGP?

Just as the title states, how many in here are in the SE? I'm in Central FL myself and starting going to track days again this year. I'm going to JenningsGP as it's the most easily accessible without a race license for me. I'm going up my GSXR currently but intending to have the Ninja there sometime in the future as I build it.

There are a few members that hit Jennings often enough. I normally go every Feb. and try to schedule the 2nd weekend. This year it's Feb, 10, 11, 12. Perhaps I will see you there!

This would be cool. I'd be guessing I'll be slower than you and in a different group looking at this. hehe.. This is all good but just saying.

I use the Feb. Jennings trip to work myself back up from time off the riding season. So I ALWAYS do the following;

Sat = Novice
Sun = Intermediate
Mon = Advanced

So there is a chance that we could be out on track at the same time. But either way, you are always welcome to stop by the "party section" anytime for food, drink and general laughs. If it's like normal, there will be about 25-30 other riders that also come with me from the Cincinnati area.

There are normally a few ninjetters that attend as well that same weekend.

Here are some links for you that show the fun we have had in the past as well as some of the other ninjette members that come to ride Jennings;

https://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=194675
https://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=207097

And the link in my sig, "1000 places & a million hands" has plenty of Jennings pics in it.

I'll be at Jennings this year a few times, not sure when. I'll have to check with my driver, mechanic, mentor, and see what bikes are available, or just use one my mine. I've been trying to hookup with this guy and ride his 600. He says it's so fast you can't shift fast enough to keep up with it. I've never ridden one of those girl's bikes (600) on the track so I'm looking forward to trying it. On my bike I usually only use 2nd and 3rd gear there so I'm not sure how many more times it will take on a 600.

Jennings is a great track because it is motorcycle only. The track is smooth going into turns since most tracks that run cars are bumpy in that area from heavy braking. It is on the small, short, flat side with laps times on the 1:15 to 1:40. There is plenty of runoff so it is rather safe should you decide to leave the track unexpectedly. There isn't much around the track so you should bring everything you can think off to make your experience worthwhile.

I’ll be there at least one day, kiddo, maybe not. He decided earlier this year he didn’t want to ride. So HFD got the bikes. I did pick up an N300 so may have that and one of my middle weights.

Bumping this, Jennings 2019 season opens Sept 14th.
They’ve done a ton of rebuilding after the hurrcanes. The trailers/bathhouse are gone and replaced by real buildings. Transponder services are available for trackdays now. The electricity was redone. Lots and lots of good stuff going on at the best all winter riding place on the planet!

I was at Jennings this year in Feb, the 2nd & 3rd. It was my 1st track day on the N400. It was called the NYST take over. We are going to do it again this year but late March in 2020. If/when I go, have to decide if I want to take the N400 or N250. It will be my 1st time riding the N250 on the track. Jennings is perfect for the smaller bikes, lots of technical turns with a very short straight. :

The straights are alot longer than the map shows! A 250 can top out 6th (105mph) if done correctly.

I am sure you can top out a 250 in 6th on that curved rear straight. I had my 400 up to 105mph in 5th without really pushing it hard. It was the 1st time I had the 400 over 100mph and I was happily surprised how easy it was to get there. I enjoyed those short technical turns. Jennings is the perfect track for smaller bikes!

Jennings is a great track. Smooth (in 99% of the track), fast, and close.

Jennings is a fast track. The long sweeper onto the front straight is super fun. It's probably my favorite track; however, I don't see it as particularly suited for a smaller bike, but then again I've never had anything there but a liter bike.

I love Jennings but on a liter bike you only need 2nd and 3rd gear.

I won’t be going to Jennings this month. The NYST take over is 3/27 thru 3/30.
I will be doing my 1st race of the season at NCBIKE 4/4 with EvolveGT. That’s a week later. Can’t afford to do both, my track budget would be blown the 1st week. The drive to Florida from New York and back, then to drive to North Carolina would be insane!!!
