Chain...for real?

cheapcycleparts is selling a chain that fits the Ninjette for $7.07???

Is this really the chain I need? First-time chain shopping, and I thot I'd be paying a boatload more than that. Can somebody pinch me...?

I think that's for the master link only.

Yea it is a little missleading if you have never bought a chain before. It is the link only. It does not tell you the length of the chain i.e. # of links and if you look at the models it fits, there is no way the same length chain fits all those models. Good thing you asked before ordering.

Yeah, they show a box with a full chain coming out. I looked around some other sites, and the pricing (and pictures) made sense with what I was looking for. Basically, anywhere between $80-$200 for the chain, which leads to my next question: Is the master link always sold separately from the chain? I've been pouring over the wiki's and none mention that. But figured I'd ask so I don't have to order the master after the fact, and can't do any work until that arrives.

New chains come with a master link (Do not, I repeat, do not buy a clip master link chain). Replacement master links are available in case you bugger one up.

This place has been recommended a few times. I'd recommend replacing the sprockets along with the chain for good measures. This website usually has kit's at reasonable prices. GL!

Yeah, I'm definitely looking to change everything. I prolly won't get to it until I get the bike off the road for winter. Have a lot of winter projects planned for her.

Thanks for the help all
