Leo Vince GP Corsa Slip On Review

Hello everyone last week I picked up the Leo Vince GP Corsa Slip on exhaust (Carbon Fiber) from Revzilla for a little under $200. I was very happy with the look and size of it, the only thing I wasn’t too happy with was the sound. In my opinion it kinda made it sound like a dirt bike. I can live with it because im getting used to it. My coworkers say it sounds good. I have read that after you put a few miles on it, it will change the sound a bit. I just hope that is the case. Again this is with the little silencer piece that comes with it because with out it, its just ridiculously load. Does any one own one and notice any sound change after riding with it for a while?

I have a LV SBK. I didn't really notice any change in sound after I put additional miles on it.

The only reason people get slip ons is to make the bike loud and annoying, so why did you get a slip on?

maybe he didn't have $500 to spend on full exhaust....like me, would have loved a full system, but can't afford it and hated the stock exhaust. Plus I have seen first hand how loud pipes make cagers more aware of you.

I have the exact same exhaust, I have around 3000 miles on it and it has changed the tone a bit since I first had installed it. Everyone at work says it sounds awsome, they keep wanted to come and rev it while I am warming bike up. Told them that's how people lose hands

I miss the days when full system exhausts (for 2fiddys) cost $350 max/shipped.

indeed, just using everything thing in arsenal (physical items attached to me or the bike) to help get me home to family everynight. Defensive driving is how I try to ride everytime, but you still get complete morons or elderly that shouldn't have their license, crowded freeway is a toughplace to keep eye on everyone moving on all side of you.

Yeah, I don't understand why its an extra 300 for the manifold pipes to be added on? pretty much made it at a price range that I will never be able to afford unless I just say F*%& it and put it on the ol' kawasaki credit from the dealer. If I get it from them the price jumps up to about $700. its nucking futs man!

Nah, but people who claim loud pipes make them safer really ought to be wearing vests as well. Otherwise its clear they're just making excuses for having an obnoxious bike.

At least they are not even close to how loud Harley's are, or any chopper on the road.

I have reflective rim tape, flashing rear brake, highway blaster horn....anything I am missing? Seriously, if you know of anything else other than an orange flag attached to a pole, let me know. I have been witness to some horrendous bike accidents and it has made me overly cautious

Stock harleys are not that loud

Also Harleys don't typically lanesplit past me at 100mph. Seriously those sportbikes with loud pipes are so loud that it makes me jump in my seat. Thing is, I don't hear them until they are right next to me at which point they are also visible.

SH&* I haven't even gotten my bike up to 100 yet. Still have not had the balls to try lane splitting either, I guess it's perfectly legal here too

trying to save with a wife and 2yr old is pretty much out of the question. I had enough come up for the slip-on and had to take it while I had it, would have been pilfered away on something mundane, like baby food, or diapers pppsshhhhh

If you could have ridden a full exhaust ninjette vs the stocker you would have saved for the full, it is a significant difference.

Damn, well if I get this job in refinery making $30 hr I should be able to afford a new system.

I also thought that I could just get the headers sperately down the road, but I can't find them anywhere

What system do you have? A slip on is made for the stock pipes, I doubt they'd be compatible with headers without some modification

There's all kinds of wrong in this post. You can get a Tyga full exhaust for much less than $500

And loud pipes? I'm not going into that on this thread, but just know that I disagree with you.

But lance, if you go with a pod filter, get some runners for the intake so there's a longer intake tract to smooth the air a bit. That will help a bit. My biggest issue with the pod filter was the inconsistent dirty air compared to the air box.

I don't think I will ever go with pod filters, I took out the snorkle and put in an AM UNI drop in. I will check out the TYGA's

I am considering the Lance SBK GP slip on.

Looks good, cost is good. But I really don't want my Ninja to sound "more like a dirt bike".

Does anyone else have an opinion on how this slip on sounds? Does it sound dirtbike-ish, and is it too loud, or is it reasonable?
