My 2013 track bike conversion

Hey Folks !

Here are some pics of my 2013 300 track bike build. I tried to stay on somewhat of a budget with it, and keep it within the rules of my club's stock class (Team Pro Motion). No tuners allowed for example.

Fairings: Hot bodies
Clip-on's: Woodcraft
Rearsets: Vortex
Shock: 2009 GSXR 750
Forks: Racetech .85 springs and GVE
Exhaust: Leo Vince Corsa Slip-on & Yosh hanger
Brakes: Galfer 1375 Pads / Galfer SS Line

Pre-conversion in the standard SE street gear

Post-conversion !

Really excited to get her back on the track with all the new goodies!

Your club lets you race with a kickstand??

Or are these just track days?

Mostly track days for now, with an option to convert back to a street bike. Any races I would do, will be in a stock class with very limited mods allowed.

I have yet to see a club that allows kickstands for racing. Track days they're fine.

Racing clubs (that I know of) all require you to remove it. Ours and a few others that I know of actually require you to cut the mount off the frame!

The hot bodies race fairings look like a nice fit. I think I might switch to Hot Bodies after this season. Great job and nice looking bike.

Thanks guys. This year will be my second season on the track. I'll try it once I said... Sure.

Lots of fun , and lots more to learn in the season ahead.

The only part I want that has not arrived are the raising links from Burkhart cycle. After a little research I learned a lot about this guys reputation for no service and slooooow delivery. I'm very temped to buy the links from soupy's or find a shop to make some for me.

If you ride with TPM, ask Walt Adams on the Facebook page. He can help you out if you give him dimensions.

And just as I was working with an engineering friend to make me links on a water jet, my order from Burkhart showed up. It took one month, and a few painful email exchanges to get them here. I'll pop them on this weekend and see how the 1.25 ones work with my sag settings.

TPM's Ninja class basically requires you to pass track day tech. Taped lights, kickstand, stock bodywork - all are acceptable.

That's fantastic! So many people are turned off from racing because you have to cut off the stand.....

I can understand why from a safety point of view though.
