hello to all from florida, photoshop request

hey everybody, i've been browsing the different forums for the last month or so and decided to join this one. as my id suggests, i do not own this bike (or any bike for that matter), therefore i will be living vicariously through you all. about that, i have always had an interest in motorcycles even though i have never ridden one. when my financial situation changes i will definitely be looking remedy this by acquiring one of these great looking 250's.

in my exploration of the different forums i have come across several good looking bikes that have been the inspiration for what i would ultimately hope to do to my own bike.

here they are:

the beast masterpiece
caligirl's awesome repair job
x2 for cling
tims250r powder coated beauty

going with the two tone theme and deciding blue was my favorite color, i crudely mocked up some schemes of my own (used paint shop pro, no photoshop skills here). The black portions would be matte similar to those on the above referenced bikes.

please let me know what you think, and lastly, i've seen some of the great photoshop work many of you possess, if anyone would be willing to properly render what i did via paint i would greatly appreciate it.

thanks to all!

I kinda like the one before last photo. I wonder what it would look like if it had the color scheme of the SE with white paint on the black.

Welcome to the boards.

I am not sure about the all black tank though...

(it is actually a very simple thing to do in photoshop or any other layer program, such as GIMP (free! www.gimp.com ). Copy picture into a background. Color/mode/Black and white. Let it convert. Then go Color/mode/RBG. Select all, Copy. Open the originial. Paste the now black and white image into a new layer. Take out places where you want the color to show through. 5 minutes. )

I'm actually fond of "Sunny's" mock up. There is balance and certainly more impact leaving the blue in the side fairing. That little punch of blue is nice and the black accents have a better flow..... Sunny's model has my vote!!

Hehe. When I get home I can play around in photoshop a bit but I have a meeting tonight so I won't be able to devote my normal amount of time to a Pshop

Hah I didn't even notice the cowl! See how much I pay attention. I'll try when I get home. I leave work in like 10 minutes.
