 LAST week we revealed that Japanese reports had suggested that Honda was soon to show its new RCV-based road bike under the name ‘RC213V-S.’ Now we can confirm that thanks to a filing in at the European trademark office. The very name suggested by Japanese publication Young Machine has now been filed as a trademark application in Europe. That’s significant partly because it fits exactly with the Japanese reports, and partly because the names of race bikes are rarely trademarked. So, can we expect to see the RC213V-S (we’re still not sure that a bike that’s set to be the most exotic Honda since the NR750 doesn’t deserve a catchier title) soon? Yes.
