new ignition wiring problems

The original ignition switch stopped turning suddenly, tried filling it with various types of lubrication, nothing worked; so instead bought a new aftermarket ignition switch and installed it. With the new switch the bike would try to start and just turn over. Came to realize that I forgot to put in a resistor with the switch. Now with the resistor put in when I turn the key nothing will come on at all. Tried putting the resistor on different wires and none of them worked, now it won't turn over.
Here is a picture of the configurations I've tried

Any sugestions would be appreciated

Hi and welcome to Ninjette! You did great job documenting wiring and what you tried.

Where are you getting info on hooking up resistor? None of those configurations are correct. Would blow multiple fuses.

1. Reverse all your mods and restore ignition-switch wiring to 100% stock condition.

2. Pull ALL fuses, including main 30a fuse and measure them. Replace any fuses that doesn't conduct electricity.

3. measure battery voltage with everything off. Voltage = ???

4. measure battery voltage during cranking. Voltage =???

1. returning wiring to stock doesnt fix anything because the stock ignition doesn't work anymore.
2. all fuses are good
3. voltage with the bike off is 13.3
4. cant check voltage while turning cause i cant get it to turn on anymore.

Something's wrong because with resistor removed and wiring restored to factory config, engine should still crank over using aftermarket ign-switch (even if it doesn't start). Undo whatever you did to get back to when engine would crank and turn over, but not start.

Verify new switch is connected to perform as follows:

Key ON
white <-- connected --> brown
red/blue <-- connected --> red
white/blk <-- connected --> white/grn + gry

Key PARK
white <-- connected --> red
white/blk <-- connected --> white/grn

No crank might also be issue with interloc safety switches.... Starter won't crank if interlocs aren't set correctly.
