Ninja 250r 2012 help.. carbs issue
Hi Riders ,
I bought a ninja 250r 2012, which I did my first trip, 1360 miles... it behaved well on the trip, it was really fun, but I only noticed that it wasted a lot of gasoline, between 4 and 5 liters up to 6 compared to other 250 like the honda cb and cbx. Well the issue is that I dared to disassemble it and clean the carburetors, and my mistake was touching the throttle screws, the synchronization screw and the pilot screw... The issue is that now the motorcycle is filled with gasoline even in the exhaust pipe... i didn't' waited and changed the oil and I even had to remove all the exhaust to remove the gasoline, I flushed it with a cheap oil and I put better oil in it again, changed the spark plugs and turned it on again... it started fine but the thing is that the same thing is still happening, today I went to fill gas and on the way back I accelerated it and I react quite well but at 100 meters it starts to drown... I got to the garage and left her there... |

I'd offer my services, but can't due to the distance involved. Clearly, your float system requires attention.... brand NEW float valves with a seat cleaning/adjustment followed by wet testing (the clear tube method) to confirm floats are, in fact, set up correctly (see pic)

Hi Ducatiman, Thank you for answering, I read many good things about you in the forum, but it is a pity that due to the distance I have not been able to send it to you.
After so many tests and without tools to be able to fix it, I decided to take it to a mechanic in the area, he told me that it was the floats and also the puncture needle , he cleaned everything again and synchronized them, the bike is running very well Thank you again |
