MSF's New Street RiderCourse

A great course to take after the BRC! It really helped me out.

When I first buy my bike, I'm going to be practicing in a church parking lot about a mile away from my house. There's no way I'm ready to be out in the streets immediately.

Hopefully not right after mass gets out. My Church everyone peels out of there and will run over the guy they just said "peace be with you" 5 minutes ago.

Hope to get to one of his classes someday, great info for sure.

Not at all. The naked bike story and pics cracked me up. Not quite a Ducati Monster.

This got extremely off topic.

Did you ride your own bike or did the MSF provide one for you?

Do you own two Ninjettes or is the black one in your avatar an older one?

The one in my avatar is blue. Maybe it's the lighting making it look black? It's the same bike.

Hey, Annette, not sure if you're aware of this, but at least once a month, there's a SoCal Tech Day, where Ninja owners get together, help one another out with maintenance work and/or adding/removing aftermarket parts, and eventually going for a ride. You should come along for the next one. It'll most likely be on Oct. 22nd. Just check the "Group Rides and Local Events" sub-forum for more info. It'll be updated as the date gets closer.

Oh wow that sounds awesome! Where in SoCal is it? Am I invited, or is only that hot girl up there invited?

I'm pretty sure my kickstand wasn't down. I think what you saw may have been that little tube that was hanging down. I've zip-tied it since, so it's not hanging down anymore.

Very cool, I will definitely keep that date in mind! I have only been in one group ride, it was for the SRC course. Other than that, I've only been riding with my boyfriend. Are they small group rides? I wouldn't feel comfortable riding with a large group.

Anybody is invited. As I mentioned in the post you quoted, just look up the thread.
In fact, I'll make it easier. Here's a link:
Next SoCal Tech Day!

If you're interested in seeing how past ones have gone, just search for them or just go through the "Ride Reports." Plenty of threads there.

It's not too big of a group. The last two times I've gone, it's been a max of 8-9 people.

Makes sense. Tough to tell on these little screens. LOL. I was kind of confused, because I read you can't go in gear with them down. Tube explains it tho. LOL
