Anyone know what size bolt goes on here?
Saw this when adjusting my fuel screws today. Seems like one of those important bolts to keep the engine from falling off.

Ya...you want that.
I would stop by your local Kawasaki dealer and get the proper shouldered nut for it. |

^ seconded, I'd replace that asap and not ride until it is replaced. The pregen motor isn't held on by much so being down a nut is a big deal

You need Kawasaki part 92015-1180, which is a flanged M10x1.25 mm hexagonal nut (external diameter of bolt is 10mm with a pitch of 1.25 mm). Use a 14mm socket and apply a torque value of 24 ft-lbs. Please see http://www.ronayers.com/oemparts/a/k...1/engine-mount

That's the type of thing to just pay more and get it at the dealer - assuming it's in-stock and there's one within a reasonable distance.

I have found good quality hardware at PepBoys. The bolt is what does the shearing resistance, while the nut keeps it in place while reduces overall vibrations. If I remember correctly, there is room for two nuts there. Check the one for the lower bolt as well.

Or just get one at Lowes or Home Depot.
Regular strength will be fine. |

it is torqued to 65 or something isn't it, i would go high strength. also i would put blue lock tite on the threads to keep it from backing out again. i would also check all the other mounts.

I got a 10M x 1.25 from the metric specialty section at Lowes and it fit right on there no problem. Bit of pain getting the thing torqued down while holding the other side but it's on there. 24 ft lbs of torque felt like the thing was gonna snap off. Now if I can just get my idle happy on the carb.
