Help Me Fix This Fairing

I know about the ABS plumbers cement to fix the crack but I'm actually more concerned about the paint.

Once the crack is repaired, a little touchup paint can help make the damage less noticeable. This thread has info on paint codes when ordering any paint.

Yes and no. If it's at the point I have to repaint the whole fairing I might buy a new one. I don't have the tools or space to do the whole thing.

I would be ok with an ok touch up .

also I should have been more specific. I don't know if I need base coat or clear coat.or any prep work for such a small area.

You wouldnt have to do the WHOLE thing but it would be some work.

I would fiberglass the back, sand down the front and put some spot putty or bondo and then sand it smooth again and throw some pain on it... Hardest thing would be blending it.

Definitely do this.

If the crack is not completely filled by the fibre glass you will need to fill it with some sort of crack repair from the front.

Then follow the rest.

TBH There is no real way buying an OEM fairing would be more cost effective than painting the entire fairing. It takes a couple days with a small amount of work and can be done in any ventilated place with the correct tools. An OEM fairing costs in the hundreds (unless you are willing to spend that...)

Like I said. Not cost effective to buy a fairing when you can simply reinforce then paint it .

haha I was agreeing!

$150 to paint the entire bike is far less than what even one fairing would cost.

That is definitely true!

What paint did you use to paint the bike? I'm actually thinking about painting my brothers entire bike a different colour.
