Hi David,
Hard to beat JT sprockets, they seem to last pretty darn good. Nobody is going to say anything bad that you are looking at DID and RK chains either. And the same for Vortex rear sprockets. Unless you are racing or a track day junkie, stick with steel sprockets like you have. As far as other brands, Sunstar, Renthal, Volar, Vortex, EK, SuperSprox, Bikemaster They are all decent in their own ways. Good luck!

As it reads, the sprocket selection is good to go for a 520 chain. With a choice of a 16t front sprocket, you will want to get a 108 link count chain to ensure you have enough links. Stock is 106 iirc, but with that gearing you might want a 107 link count (cut a link out of a 108) depending on your rear tire size to give ample adjustment ranges.

He wants taller gearing than that. I've got 16x41t on my commuter. More relaxed and comfortable for hours on end at ave. traffic speed (faster than ave. track speed!).
You can also use JT JTR486.45 rear-sprocket as well: https://www.amazon.com.mx/JT-Sprocke...ords=jtr486.45 |

Enjoy!

Production tolerances what they are, 16x45t fit at extreme forward end of adjuster slot on my street bike. Didn't fit on my race bike. Both 2008. Just get whatever chain-length is available, 110-L or so. Then cut at 108L first and test fit. Then go down to 106L if available.
Amazon "fit" is not guaranteed. It only shows combination they have actually tested. If they have not tested XYZ 106-L chain, they will list as "not compatible" even though ABC 106-L chain does fit. Same with bulbs. I bought bulbs for my CBR600RR last year. Only 1 bulb was listed as compatible. Remaining 20031 H7 bulbs were listed as "not compatible" ? That's correct bulb and I know any one of them would fit, but Amazon says "no". That's because they only tested 1 bulb, and not remaining 20031. They really need a 3rd classification that says "untested" rather than "not compatible". |
