Front sprocket change DIY?

Is there a DIY that shows how to change the front sprocket?

The main thing I'm worried about is realigning the rear tire, I'm not even sure if I need to do it.

Any help would be appreciated

if you loosen the chain adjusters, you need to realign the rear wheel.

Well damn...How hard is aligning the rear wheel? Do I need any special tools?

You shouldn't have to move the chain adjusters. I didn't when I changed mine...

its really easy if you can split the chain. but if its riveted, it takes a little convincing to get the front sprocket off with the rear still setup and tensioned

I couldn't get my front sprocket back in without having to basically take the rear wheel off. I tried loosening the axle nut & adjusters all the way & pushing the rear tire forward but still didn't have enough chain slack. Anyways, if you should have to remove the axle...it's just about impossible to get everything aligned and still insert it from the left side, so get everything aligned and put the axle in from the right.

I had a hell of a time trying to use a breaker bar to loosen the nut. Went to harbour freight and bought a 1/2 impact wrench. Less than 10 seconds, the nuts was off. I love that wrench!
