That's my old tank! I'm glad you posted here. I'd been keeping up for awhile on the other forum but am on here a lot more.

Turned out great!

So after putting about 160 miles on this build that pesky coolant leak returned. After fighting with some rtv. A clean area and new o-ring sealed the deal.

This bike is loads of fun to ride. Seating position is nice and all of the weight is down low so it handles wonderfully. I honestly enjoy riding this bike more than my 636. The new tires on this bike transform it too. I havent yet ridden it much with the new brake setup but im liking it

Now onto the bad news. This past sunday the gf got a little ambitious with the clutch while making a low speed turn and dumped it. Her gear took the fall well. She has a questionable broken finger and a crushed ego. The bike took the hit well but didnt come out unscathed.

The tank got it the worst. I've had an ongoing problem with the starter button hitting the tank before full lock and the fall just provided enough force to reach full lock. Im not even mad because the paint work on the take was starting to bubble from my tank bag. The bike was rideable to get home. Luckily I have some spares and replaced the brake pedal right afterwards. The bike can always be fixed with money, she could have gotten it worse.
