Ninja 300 oil change
Do you guys know which tool I need to do an oil change for the Ninja 300? I liked the old setup where all I needed was a couple of regular wrenches... Also, I'm sure this has been answered before, but how much oil does she hold?

I use the cup filter wrench, and the little adjustable wrench I keep in my underwear toolbox. Capacity is 2.5 quarts / 2.4 liters

That will show the filter wrench Adjustable wrenches are always in my toolbox, not always the best thing for the job, but used properly and with skill they do wonders!!! http://m.sears.com/productdetails.do...1192011x000001 And if you can get one of these k&n filters it is def a plus, for me anyhow !!! http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?p=661494

Use the same wrench as the last generation for the oil plug.

If it's for the first change you better get the screwdriver and hammer out. Factory has like 50lbs/ft of torque on it.
Also the manual says 2.2L for filter change and 2L without. But it was a little on the low side so I put about 100ml more in. |

would just use a rubber strap wrench on it.
1.99 at harbor freight, or just attach a rubber strap on to a piece of wood.

This is pretty much the only way to go. I went through three different types of cups trying to get mine off and they all either just cammed off or slipped. They'll be fine after the original filter is off, but not for the first go.
That definitely won't get it off. |

I was able to get mine off of my Ninja 1000 and 300 which bother were tightened on there by retard apes at the factory with my oil filter wrench. After that I purchased K&N replacements which have a nut on the end so you can use a standard socket wrench on them

Thats surprising, lol.
The strap wrench took truck filter off when the cup wrench slipped.
