----------------- The final FP1 session of the day was a sunny and cool affair for the intermediate class but cold tyres were less of a problem than mechanical issues on their first outing of the weekend in Valencia. Freshly crowned world champion Alex Marquez was on fire early on, but not literally like Ducati earlier in the day, the Spaniard steadily climbing to the top of the timesheets by the halfway point of the session. However, Marquez got some unusual competition from Stefano Manzi, the Italian consistently fast throughout the session and taking the checkered flag from the top of the timesheets.
