Considering I've heard of this sort of thing happening to other people in the past it could or could not be an April's fool joke. Oddly enough the chances of it being real are just as high as it being fake. Facebook isn't exactly the most stable or secure site there is these days.

Are you on a Mac David? Often I used to click on Facebook, and it wouldn't pop up while every other site would work for me. It happened most on my mac.
