'Stone S20's ?

Still can't find slicks in the 110/140 config for the 300, but realized the S20s come in those sizes. Anyone have feedback on 'em? Pretty reasonably priced too.

Joel......no. These are street tires for commuting that work well in the canyons. Get the Pirelli Diablo Rosso II or slicks. S20s are not the tire for what you're using them for.

Use a DOT race tire Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP2 (medium compound) front in 110. Then use a Pirelli Diablo Rosso II rear (street) in the 140 range. I just tried this combination and it's pretty good. More meat so you can get greater lean angles and the wear indications look like they will last a VERY long time on our bikes. Definately better than the Bridgestone BT003 RS when I tried out Jonathon's "B" bike.

I have them on my triumph street triple R. They seem to great street tires. I wouldn't use them as my first choice for the ninja 250 on the track since there are better options that offer better overall grip.
On my triumph, they warm up very quickly and the have nice compliance for bumps. I did two track days with them on my triumph, I did get some squirm when they got hot, but I was still running very quick times at Jennings for primarily a street tire.

I've already tried the 90 slick up front, and the Rosso II out back. The 300 has a 4" rear rim, so I can run a 150 pretty well back there too. The 90 feels a bit "twitchy" for me up front, but it is a stickier tire. I got about 2 weekends out of the slick until it got a bit slippery. The Rosso II has done a trackday and two races, and still feels fine, but I'm not sure how much I get out of it. Would love to see a 110/140 or 150 slick combo, but they're just not out yet. I'm certainly not married to 'stones since my probabilty of scoring tire certs is almost nil.

Was it Fogle that was gonna run the 125's front and back? that sounds plausible for my fat ass as well, although I'd rather have something fatter in my backyard. . .

I asked my Pirelli distributer about using the 100/125 slicks on the 300 and he called Pirelli to ask them. They said they will not work on the 300's rim because it will be too stretched. I will be using the Super Corsa's in a 120/150 combo.
