Picked up my new jacket :D

Finally fed up with having to wear like 10 layers every morning since my only jacket was a cheapo mesh summer one with foam armor, I splurged $170 (thats A LOT to me) on a Cortech FSX Series 2 jacket. It's textile with wind/water proof stuff in it and its got some nice chunky REAL CE rated armor lol, and a quilted and very very warm removable liner. Haven't got to try it out on my own bike yet, but I just rode our 50cc honda metropolitan (was returning it from someone who we let borrow it) and dang I was nice and toasty when I got home :P http://www.tourmaster.com/xcart/prod...tid=293&cat=25 link to the jacket

pointless thread

Not pointless. Glad you like the new gear.

Gratz. You do get what you pay for. What's even better is that you knew the things you didnt like about your cheapo mesh jacket. Now you're splurging will more than likely pay off because everything about this new jacket will hopefully be the opposite of what you hated. Enjoy your new gear!

Wow. $174 EXTREMELY WELL SPENT. When it's 40 degrees out and I'm doing 70+ on the highway I DO NOT FEEL A THING this jackets amazing! Granted my hands, feet and chin still freeze because I have breathable summer gloves, tennis shoes (I'm sorry ATGATT police I'm waiting on my next paycheck for some boots) and nothing to stop the freezing wind from hitting my chin. I'd definitely recommend this jacket to anyone on a budget, the only things I don't like is that its so warm with the liner that it gets kinda hot when I'm not riding and the water/wind proof barrier inside it gets caught in the zipper extremely easily, definitely worth it though.
