Hurricane Sandy
This is how we're bunkering down for Hurricane Sandy in my house tonight. And now on to Inception and Hot Toddys.
Bring it, Sandy. |

its just raining out around here. the wind has picked up through.
took a quick ride around the surrounding area, found nothing but fallen tree branches. tonight is when the eye gets close, and the storm surge worsens.

Haha. I know where I'll be!
We're directly in the path... And my office told me specifically that I HAD to come to work today. Awesome. Only parking lot in the complex with cars in it |

I'm listening to Sandy's music right now. Wind blowing through trees and power lines crackling. As long as my family, my house and my bike stay tree free we will be ok. Good luck to all who read this and the sun always comes out eventually.

We are doing good up here in Orange County NY. Across the street from me they lost power but I'm still on. My wife and I did put our one year old in our room so we knew he was safe. Lots of trees down up here and power lines too. The sound of trees cracking and falling sucks. I'm very happy overall that nothing worse happened

Up here in SW Connecticut it went from "interesting" to "sporty" pretty quickly.
At times it crossed over in to "nautical." Never quite got to "Biblical," though... We got 70+ mph gusts. By Fla standards that's not huge, but consider that we're carpeted with a LOT of old trees that very rarely see those kinds of winds. There's lots and lots of damage. |

Lost some great bars on the coast of Rhode Island. It's going to be a tough summer.
