Is that intake valve leaking a bit? I would guess lapping would result in a cleaner looking burn.

you can get valve float at the beginning of intake cycle from weak spring too. would be interested to see the same view but of a desmo valve train.

Very cool. Always amazes me that the fuel/air mixture and exhaust can move in and out of the cylinder fast enough to allow for the high rpms that modern engines can run.
