It's not a bad bike on-road either. Not as nimble as the 250, but still fun. I sit higher than guys in SUV's

I think I posted some vids a long while back of taking the Ninja down some gravel roads. It's not recommended, but it's *possible*.

I got my first taste of off-road by getting training: http://www.cmts.org/

There might be something similar near you.
