Changed the oil and filter. Poured in liquid gold - at least that's how proud the brand is of their oil. Though I did like the little built in spout (but not THAT much, Motul).

Tomorrow will do a thorough walk around to ensure she's all ready for a hopefully fun and dry ride to Yosemite.

Replaced my CycleGuys FastPack Tailbag with the Cortech Super 2.0 tailbag (24L). I had a little trouble mounting it in the beginning, but I figured it out. This thing is sweet and I am really liking the extra room I have. Now, I can commute properly. It looks great on the 300 and is the perfect size.

Brilliant. I just picked up a gsxr rear shock today.

What front wheel are you going to run? I want to do the whole front end swap along with 1/2 the gsxr brake package, but that lands me with an overly wide front wheel

What kind of modifications do you need to do the get that to work?

I was looking to try to get ZX10 or ZX6 fork to work on the 300.

Would like to run the ZX6 wheels to keep it looking the same but it's whatever I find cheaper.

I haven't really looked at the ZX forks because the gsxr parts are everywhere and can be found for a decent price. As far as I know, the offset from stem to fork is a good amount smaller with the GSXR so the forks will be closer to the body/frame which makes using the fairings not so possible. You will have a shorter wheelbase too because of it which you may or may not feel (twitchier). Getting it to work as far as I know is to swap out the stem bearings.

Allballsracing.com has a fork bearing conversion list.

Finally put in a rear brake light pressure switch. Rear brake hasn't turned on the brake light since I got woodcraft rearsets. Also did a rear brake reservoir delete because the damn thing didn't really fit well with all the crap I got going on in that spot.

took pictures!

and went to costco..

and maybe vons

and did some research on slip ons, the muzzy 2 to 1, and air filters.
decided on waiting a few months. This bike is my only motorized transportation and I'm not really in the mood for having it not working when I need it to.

First time I've fully packed my Kriega US-10 and US-20. Didn't expect it to be so tall lol. The top case won't open all the way when I have the tail bags there.

This took me a while because I had a set of brand new straps and I had never actually put the Kriega bags on the 300 due to having the top case. Don't know exactly how long it was. I just had some extra **** to haul today. Normally it doesn't take me long cuz I just toss w/e in the top case lol.

Agree (+1) on both statements! Great helmet and the bike would look great with white and green wheels-- white needs to be cleaned way more often

Petcock is leaking again. Damnit. Will have to pick up a lawnmower petcock to put inline. Having clear fuel tubing is great!

Even though that Kriega set-up is already kinda silly looking, I still want to get the US-30 with another US-20 to attach together. I like having the option to carry way too much **** if ever necessary. Who knows, I might decide to go ride across the US at some point and will need all luggage space I can get

I would like to have my wheels powdercoated later on but I think I have many other cosmetic things to take care of first. Maybe actually painting those white fairings green... Oh and getting a new fairing stay cuz the front bodywork is just crooked enough to annoy me and make putting the fairings on a bitch.

Had sintered front pads and SS line installed, along with fresh oil and filter. The 300 scoot is a bit happier these days. Next to do, is swap out the OEM grips (too firm for my liking) with some more comfy ones. Then, eventually, swap out for a tinted front shield and rear seat cover.

Frame Sliders .....hmmm .... should I, or should I not? They're great if a sudden drop should occur or if going down on pavement. But! tend to do more damage once the bike goes off road. This is why I am debating of adding them, or not....... decisions, decisions.

Shogun sliders. Sturdiest and no cutting into the fairings.

From what I understand:

Cheap route:
remove lower 250 stem race and swap onto 600 fork and reinstall everything.
Grind/cut away frame stem steering lock bracket as it will not clear the forks.

better route:
remove all the oem races and ball bearings and replace with all balls racing roller bearings.

What races and ball bearings will fit, to swap the new fork in? I'm not really against doing the "cheap" route. But I thought it was the only way. I wanna do ZX6R forks on mine.

Added two more Techmount's to my bike on the unused mirror mounts, for both the left and right side. Getting closer and closer to making my bike more friendly for electronics (GPS, phone, heated gear, etc).

New Tires

New Pirelli DRIIs front and rear. My stock rear was completely squared off.

Love the feel of them. Very confidence inspiring.

Hopefully potential buys will appreciate them.

Bought 'er a battery, and rode 20 or so miles on gravel back roads at 60+ mph.

Now I really need to test drive my next bike most inappropriately, 'cause I want it to not suck on gravel. I like the ability to go 70mph on gravel.

She did feel really freaking slow today though, not a good sign...
