Repairing a fairing?

Hey gaize,

As some of you may know I dropped my bike ontop of a propane tank... in my garage... yeah. Wondering if you guys think I'd be able to fix this?

If not, does anyone know if like, a body shop would be able to repair it?

Thanks!

F glue and clamps, you can plastic weld that with a soldering iron. its very very easy i welded all of the fairings on my pregen except 1. its very easy and there are a bunch of how to vids. also it cost 4$ for a soldering iron at harbor freight, that the same u would spend on a clamp and glue.

Permetex PermaPoxy Plastic Weld! You still see the "scar", but word on the street has it that scars are cool. But if you apply sparingly and wipe off excess (sets in five minutes), should pass from ten feet away.

It doesn't take any Soldering iron skills. first you drill a small hole at the end of the crack u just plug it up, let it get hot, and then run it along the back side of the crack making a valley. Then fold over each side of the valley into the original valley to mix the melting plastic, And boom its fixed. Also unlike glue it won't pop back open if something happenes again.

That's what scrap practice is for. Surely you must be able to find something plastic and broken you can get practice on.

Id say just leave it man. Its your first bike you will likely drop it again. A few battle scars are ok imo

Yeah, I'm not TOO worried about it right now, I'm just eventually going to sell the bike. (One day, not any time soon!)
