Just got here. Going to grab some coffee while I wait =)

EDIT: Coffee acquired, gas burned

Great ride today! It was great meeting everyone, looking forward to doing it again! Thanks @fleemos for encouraging me to come out.

I don't often take pictures, but when I do, I take them with a terrible phone camera.

Ninjettes at rest
I completely missed one bike -- you can just see its mirrors peeking out, wondering why I'm being so unfair.

Yesterday was awesome! That was my first time seeing Blood Mountain and Helen and must say that it didn't disappoint! Absolutely beautiful! However I will say that I'm pleased most of all by meeting you guys! Good to know that there are folks out there who can enjoy a shared interest with others and not be a total d bag or look down on others who haven't been at it as long, lol. Thanks to @BlueJeepYJ for leading the pack and not leaving the rest of us on 250's in the dust and stopping at some choice views! I can't wait to see the pics and vids that @mangajulio and his bro managed to get! I'm hoping to get my affairs in order so that I'll be able to join next weekend for the Dragon, but either way, I'll make all the other group rides from here on out and look forward to meeting more folks!

Good place to buy riding gear local?

I know that this is not on the exact topic, but since this is the N. GA. riders I figured this would be the best place to pose this question. I am in the Gainesville area, but don't mind some travel.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome Randy!

Can check Cycle Gear, they have locations in Lawrenceville and Alpharetta. Not too familiar with your area to say if there is somewhere closer.

I like Cycle Gear for a lot of odds and ends but they fall short in a few categories for me. When I was shopping for a jacket, almost all of the stuff was black and I was looking for HI-Viz. And the unfortunate reality when you start getting into the higher dollar items the savings from shopping online can become quite substantial. I have purchased from Revzilla a bunch and have had nothing but positive experiences.

You can find some good stuff on craigslist sometimes. My gear is a mix of CL, CycleGear, and online retailers.

TN: Sun May 18th: Natchez Trace Run

I wanted to go to the Tail trip but time constraints aren't allowing me to go.
However, I want to ride anyway, and it'll be a nice day.

I know it's short, but figured I put it up anyway....

Run the Natchez Trace w/ me.
11am meetup at the Shell next to Loveless Cafe.

Plan is to make a few runs down and back, stopping @ puckett's in Leipers Fork, TN for burgers/lunch at some point.

Meet spot @ 11:00AM
Highway 100 Shell
8456 Tennessee 100
Nashville, TN 37221

Anyone wanting to go, but unable to make meetup times, the trace is not hard to find others on...provided they don't go too far south.
Most runs I do I go from start (highway 100 bridge) to furthest south to 840 highway underpass.
So if you see a white ninja 300 w/ rider in white Dainese jacket..flash lights and I'll stop at next pull off and wait for ya

Where the heck is our group? We need to plan a RIDE! Looks like the Florida Keys trip is a wash, but hell, at this point I'd be just as happy riding up to Helen with you all.

I'm in the throes of crunch time until Wednesday, but I'd definitely be in for a ride up to the mountains next weekend.

Jennings GP sounds really fun, but I'll be out of town that weekend (and I only have a textile suit, no leathers =/).

@mangajulio Did you get any good video from that ride a while back?

As funny as this sounds, it's totally true.
My dog is graduating from obedience class tomorrow. I'll have to miss this one. I might be able to ride Thursday if anyone's interested.

Did I miss something?

Sometime ago there was talk of a Track Day, did it ever happen?

What did I miss?

I don't want this year to end without attending one.

Since the group didn't follow through with any of the planned trips I think an October outing would be better than nothing. It would give us time to plan and save up the $$ needed. I'm going this year. THAT'S MY GOAL.

ROLL CALL!!

If you'd like to make it happen chime in so we could hold your feet to the fire.

This maybe asking a lot, but someone who's had the experience may want to take the helm and find a venue that would accommodate us with tentative dates.

@salcuta88 We use to regularly. I think we're well overdue for one.
I haven't been here for a while so I don't know.

I'd definitely be interested in an October trip, but my schedule is too chaotic to commit to anything that far in advance =/. I should be able to commit to something by the time we're about a month out.

In the nearer term, I'll be trying to get up to the mountains sometime early next month. I also have some maintenance I need to get to (new chain + oil change), so if anyone's interested in a tech day meetup we could figure something out! I can contribute some carb cleaning and valve adjustment experience.
