Attention Charlotte, NC and surrounding area riders!

Anyone interested in going on the newly paved Diamondback Motorcycle & Sportscar Route ?

If you've never been, here's what you've been missing. The Diamondback boast 12 mile of 190 steep, climbing and sweeping curves, switchbacks looping almost 360-degrees. Runs of S-curves and twists, not to mention amazing scenery. It's may not be the Dragon but the best thing about it is, no trucks and a 45 mph speed limit (50 mph on the BRP) Those who have been, know what I'm talking about. Can you say fun as H3LL ?

Did I mention the Devils Whip? I'm getting this one in too!

Lots of "great" roads in that area.

Rt.181:

Covered parking at the Diamondback Lodge at the top of 226A (Diamondback).

Devil's Whip:

This was on the "Devil's Whip"when riding with Aaron & Drew:

Count me in!

I haven't picked up my (project) Ninjette yet, so riding it is a few weeks away, but I'm game to join you on one of my other bikes. This is a really good route, and the restaurant at the top has Trout Croissants (!) as well as lots of other good stuff.

Welcome to the forum,

There's another road at the restaurant you mentioned, Bear Wallow RD, that connects to Crabtree RD to 19 to 80 to 226 heading to Roan Mountain Tenn.

Going to be without the Ninja 250 for a while, tearing it down to turn it into a Cafe' Racer, but have other bikes to ride, too.
