Help

Ok im new in this forum iv just got a 2007 ninja 250 from my uncle it sat for two years and when we went to start it wouldnt fire so we replaced the carbs and the air box had a crack in it so we replaced that to. SHe fired up and idle and rev fine in neutral but you get going down the highway it had no power at all i had it pinned it 6th gear and it would barely reach 50 but i kept at it and it got better and better and now it runs pretty good now but when you driving down the highway between 6 and 8 rpm it kinda just falls on it face no throttle response it will go but you have to give it time and it makes this weird vibration noise doesnt sound to good, now this bike only has 500 miles on it please help me i need her for college. THANKS

(1) Did you clean out the gas tank and put fresh gas back in?
(2) Did you check the condition of the spark plugs?
(3) Did you do an oil change?
