Pet Surgery = Selling My Ninja X,(

Well, that's it. It's happening. I'm selling my ninja.

My dog got intervetebral disk disease (IVDD) and reached grade 4: paraplegia, paralyzed halfway down. She needed emergency spinal surgery within 24 hours to have a chance at walking again. Since it was a Friday night and such specialists are few, we had to call in a neurologist to perform the surgery after hours, costing me approximately $9,000. It's been 3 hard weeks, but she is slowly showing signs of regaining feeling in her legs.

Anyway, I'm selling my ninja to help pay for the surgery right now. I can't ride much right now anyway because I'm caring for her (she can't even pee on her own). Hopefully next year, in a few months once she is better and life gets back on track, I can get a new bike, a 300 or R3.

Yeah she wouldn't have survived with me as an owner.

I love my dogs, but I'm not spending that much on them.

Thanks, guys. Hopefully I can come back in a few months and say that she's walking again--and maybe even that I'm back on two wheels. I never thought I would let go of this bike.

you will be rewarded for your good deed... a better bike, or maybe the winning lottery numbers but if nothing else your puppy will love you for a few more years.

I hope Christmas brings you a miracle.

Talking Update!

Guess what, guysssss... So after 2 months of not showing any signs of regaining feeling, the neurologists said they didn't think she would recover. I decided to try anyway. Now, after putting her through physical therapy, acupuncture, homeopathy, confinement, home PT, massages, laser therapy, stimulation, and supplements...!!!

She can't feel yet, but she is starting to spinal walk ! She also regained control of her bladder! So I no longer have to express her every few hours myself. :,) I'm so happy. She still wears diapers because she has #2 accidents sometimes.

In addition... I passed my last CPA EXAM!!!! So I started working 7 days per week and... Guess what I got!

thought so. Do you know how painful it is once the needle hits your veins?

Had one. That'll be the last.

But then again, the treatment works. I woke up at the other side of the bed. My neck was killing me. Went to a Chinese Acupuncture practitioner. The pain subdued in three days.

haha, I don't want to experience it myself, but it definitely works! She only feels it sometimes so far, but it is definitely helping repair the damaged nerves !

Glad to hear the pup is doing well she is very lucky to have you as an owner,

Congrats on passing the CPA Exam, and I can't open the video link here on my work computer for some reason, but based on the photo of the keys I'm assuming you are back on 2 wheels. So congrats on that too.

That's fantastic that your little one is doing better! We had a dog with a spinal degeneration thing, tough unfortunately there wasn't anything we could do for him, so we got him a wheelchair.

And hurray for your CPA success and I'm guessing you got a new bike, so hurray for that, too!
