Hopkins to join Bautista on Rizla Suzuki squad at Brno MotoGP

American John Hopkins will get his second MotoGP wildcard ride aboard the Rizla Suzuki GSV-R at the Brno round of the MotoGP World Championship, riding alongside primary Rizla Suzuki MotoGP rider Alvaro BautistaThe Rizla Suzuki MotoGP team has confirmed that American John Hopkins will make his second appearance this season with the squad at the upcoming Brno event on August12-14. This time, however, Hopkins will be riding alongside primary Rizla Suzuki rider Alvaro Bautista—who has recovered from the broken leg suffered during a practice crash at the Qatar season opener—instead of replacing him as he did in Jerez, where the American finished a credible 10th. Brno is one of Hopkins’ favorite circuits, where the California native finished a career-best second during the 2007 season on his way to a fourth overall in the championship.
